What does it mean to be truly at ease in this moment? The practice of Restorative Yoga reveals the answers by leveraging deep relaxation techniques to reset and heal the body. Through the art and practice of slowing down, we are able to produce a sense of spaciousness and deep rest freeing us from the toxins of daily stress.
THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS OF RESTORATIVE YOGA
In the second module of this training students will continue to increase their somatic understanding of relaxation and expand their repertoire of restorative poses.
Lectures and practice will dive deeper into topics related to the nervous system and the vagus nerve. Students will learn to address life stages specific to women (menstruation, pregnancy and menopause), as well as how to link Ayurvedic principles to the practice of relaxation. We will also discuss and provide restorative sequences that address specialty topics such as chronic pain and trauma.
Prerequisite: Level 1, previous Restorative training, or by teacher approval.
